Notes:
Start your engine easier and warm your cab faster in cold weather with this frost-plug-style engine block heater. Heating your engine coolant keeps it from thickening and freezing, resulting in more reliable start-ups and smoother operation altogether. It also lessens the workload and extends the life of your vehicle's battery. And because starting your engine when it's warm creates less condensation in the engine block than starting it when it's cold, your engine will get better initial fuel vaporization, which causes fewer emissions and less pollution.
This frost-plug heater replaces the core plug in your engine block. The power cord on the heater is removable so that you won't need to buy a whole new heater if the cord gets damaged. The cord can be routed through your grille for easy access to a 120-volt outlet or extension cord. If needed, a longer or shorter cord (sold separately) can be purchased to better fit your application. Make sure the heating element is fully submerged in the coolant before plugging it in.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Kat's Heaters custom engine block heater. This is going to replace the frost plug or the core plug in your engine block, and it will submerge in the coolant. This will warm the engine fluid to help keep it from thickening and to help protect against damage in cold weather. This will ensure smoother startups faster heating and defrosting of your cab. It's also going to reduce condensation in the engine block so it will emit less pollution and fewer gas emissions for you.
This is a custom fit for several different Chevrolet models with a 2.2 liter I4 engine including the models that you see on the screen there. So if you have any of those this is going to be designed to work for your vehicle. So it will be very easy to get this put in place of that frost plug. This does include this removable power cord so that you can route this through your grill plug into a standard 120 volt AC outlet. If you we're to need to replace the cord, we do have options available here at etrailer.com for shorter cables and longer cables.
So depending on your needs, you can switch that out in the future if you need to. This is going to require you to have less than a hundred percent anti-freeze solution because you do not want to use this heater with a 100% anti-freeze solution. You do also wanna make sure that the heating element is fully submerged in the coolant before you plug it in and you do not want to start your engine with the heater plugged in. But this is constructed of a corrosion resistant brass here in the USA. It has a diameter of 42 and half millimeters.
It's going to have a wattage of 400 watts and 3.3 amps. It is CSA approved, and it is gonna do a great job for you helping to keep that fluid warm especially in those really cold temperatures. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
Thank you!
